Almost 20 million for Tübingen AI Center

Permanent funding for AI competence centers in Germany

From July 1, Germany’s five centers of excellence for artificial intelligence in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony will receive more consistent funding from the federal government. The Tübingen AI Center at the University of Tübingen and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems will now receive nearly 20 million euros annually from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the state of Baden-Württemberg as institutional funding.
